What to Expect As a New Patient

So you can lead a healthy life.

On your first visit to the office, which will be roughly 2 hours, the doctor will study your health history and determine if your atlas is out of alignment. If you are indeed out of alignment, specialized x-rays will be taken to accurately view the misalignment; these are known as pre-x-rays. Why X-rays? Because to see is to know, and not to see is to guess.

We refuse to guess about your health. Special calculations and reading of the x-rays will definitively show how the misalignment can be corrected to bring you back on the road to health. NUCCA adjustments, which are very gentle with no cracking or popping, will be administered on the 2nd visit after your precise misalignment has been calculated. Most of the time, patients do not feel anything but a gentle pressure behind the ear. The doctor will then take another set of x-rays called “post” x-rays to show the reduction of your misalignment.

NUCCA adjustment is to reduce the postural distortion to relieve symptoms. A person may feel no significant change, a change in symptoms with immediate improvements, or new short term symptoms associated with a new structural position. All responses to the adjustment are individualized to the patients.

Usually, the doctor will see you for 2x a week for the first 2 weeks until your body start to stabilize to your balanced self. After that, the frequency of appointments depends on your body. Our long term goal is to achieve spinal balance by holding your alignment so you and your loved ones can lead a healthy optimized life, without pain, discomfort, or pills. Usually, most people come once a month or six weeks to get checked and ensure they are maintaining their alignment. Therefore, the treatment plan varies depending on your body and lifestyle.

During the process, there may be pain management and other obstacles that need to be eliminated. We utilize acupuncture, kinesio-taping, muscle work, and nutritional counseling to aid in the rehabilitation process. Let us know what we can do to help you.
